Chair, 2017

Reclaimed wooden chair, soil and wild plants/flowers

Chair, 2017 is the result of an observation upon ‘artificial green space’ in modern cities. The term refers to green space that has been designed by man and not of nature’s hand. This green space is often constructed upon brown belt land, land that prior to man was once green.

Chair embodies this cycle. Tree, to chair, to garden.

These first images were taken 5 weeks after I initially planted the seeds.
